Tom Dankert is an Austin native.  He graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting/business administration.  Tom began his employment with the City of Austin in April of 1996 as the senior accountant.  He was appointed to the position of Administrative Services Director by the City Council in December 1998.  Prior to joining the city staff, Tom worked for Larson, Allen, Weishair and Co., LLP as a Certified Public Accountant.  Tom currently holds an active CPA license.
