City Clerk

The City Clerk’s office provides a variety of services for the City of Austin including:

  • Preparing minutes and resolutions of the City Council meetings
  • Handles all license applications for the City
  • Provides general information as requested by the public
  • Publishes legal notices of hearings, ordinances and other information
  • Completes legal process for special assessments
  • Accepts payments for special assessments
  • Accepts filings for City offices
  • Maintains official records for the City
  • Administers elections and trains all election judges
  • Processes applications and approvals for the Austin/Mower County Homeownership Program
