Annual Hydrant Flushing

The Austin Fire Department will be starting their annual hydrant flushing in the SE quadrant of the city on Monday, April 30. It will continue for several months.

Base Salaries of Three Highest Paid Employees

Minnesota state law – Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005 Requires that “a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees.”
For City of Austin, titles and annual salaries as of January 1, 2018 are:
City Administrator – $138,507
Public Works Director – $118,643
Director of Administrative Services – $114,275
