Police Officer
Timeline:
Applications will be accepted through June 1st, 2022; and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, at minimum, on a monthly basis. Testing and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis; candidates will be contacted for scheduling.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement or related field. There is no minimum amount of experience required. Applicants need to be POST licensed (or eligible for licensure) by time of hire. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license, pass a full background investigation, along with psychological and physical examination.

Pay Range:
Base wage ranges for 2022 are:
2022 – $30.71 – $43.87
Placement within these ranges, are dependent upon experience. Successful, entry level employees, without sworn officer experience, will move to the top step within five years. Successful employees, hired with sworn officer experience, as determined by the City, can move to the top step in less than five years.
