2025 Leadership Austin
Leadership Austin “Safety Day at the Fire Station” was held on Thursday, March 6, 2025! Participants attended a classroom “Learn about the Fire Department,” then it was onto donning turnout gear to begin the “real life experience” of being a fire fighter. Aerial ladder rides, station tours and hands-on auto extrication and search & rescue were conducted by each group with doffing ending the session. Awesome Job Leadership Austin Participants!

2024 Leadership Austin
It was “Safety Day at the Fire Station” for Leadership Austin on Thursday, March 14, 2024! After participants attended a classroom “Learn about the Fire Department,” they donned turnout gear to touch on what it’s like being a fire fighter. They received a station tour, aerial ladder ride and were able to immerse themselves into experiencing hands-on Search & Rescue and Auto Extrication. Great Job Leadership Austin Participants!
2023 Leadership Austin
On Thursday, March 9, 2023, the Austin Fire Department hosted Leadership Austin with approximately 25 attendees. Participants started in the classroom receiving facts and information about the department. After the classroom portion, they were provided the opportunity to participate in a real life hands-on experience consisting of wearing fire gear, participating in auto extrication, search & rescue, thermal imaging, and a station tour.
