CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Public Works Department, as a division of the City of Austin, Minnesota, is responsible for planning, programming, design, constructing, and maintaining public works facilities. This includes street infrastructure, street lighting, traffic control, sanitary and storm water, water main, and wastewater treatment facilities.
The Public Works Department is currently seeking to fill the following position:
Sewer Maintenance

PAY RANGE
Salary Range: $28.87 – $38.49 per hour.
Starting salary is dependent on experience.
Full Time, Non-Exempt
40 Hours per Week, Monday – Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (summary)
- Construction and maintenance work such as pavement cutting, trench excavation, manhole and catch basin construction, mainline pipe repair, pipe laying, and backfilling.
- Operation of construction and maintenance equipment, including jetter/vac trucks, backhoes, excavators, camera televising equipment, and snow removal equipment.
- Maintenance, cleaning, repair, and replacement of sanitary sewer lift stations, including pump servicing and electrical troubleshooting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from High School or GED.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and tanker certification.
- Three years of construction, maintenance, or repair experience.
