The City of Austin Wastewater Treatment Facility experienced a sewer discharge into the Cedar River on Wednesday July 8th. Our team responded immediately and is actively working to contain and resolve the issue.
Residents are advised to avoid contact with river water near and downstream of the facility until further notice. This includes recreational activities such as fishing, swimming, and wading.
